Windy’s physique and confirmation are prime aspects for a Mangalarga Marchador filly. This will allow a future owner to own an eye-catching horse. With her different bloodlines that complement each other and bred to a Stallion with like qualities, Windy would provide an excellent foundation into a breeding program and/or contribute to an existing breeding facility.
Windy has always been one that is the “always in your pocket” type looking for attention. She was started here on Flying Oak’s Ranch in natural surroundings running with cattle and other horses graduating into ground work and started under saddle. In 2010 she was moved to a trainer that specialized in reining and cattle sorting, Windy excelled with this trainer and in the trainer’s words, “she is always anxious to please the rider and ready to shift gears when asked.”
She has been ridden extensively on trails and has performed in exhibitions in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Crowds or noise do not bother her and she is always willing to allow different riders on her. Windy stands good for farrier work and trailer loading is not a problem.
Windy is now in Arizona after spending two months with trainer Simone Aamold at Dusty Spur Ranch for further contact training(video) and desert trail riding. She is now residing at Out West Stallion Station in Scottsdale, Arizona along with Summerwind’s Marchadors owned by John & Lynn Kelly and is being ridden daily by Brenda Wein.
Windy has even been featured in an article in Equus Magazine! Check out the entire article.
